Welcome to the Kincumber Pacific Dolphins Amateur Swimming Club. Thank you for taking an interest and we look forward to your participation in our Activities.

The club's philosophy is to foster and encourage the development of a team spirit amongst both children and parents through swimming and related activities.

Your participation in club and interclub events promotes personal achievement for the individual swimmer and a sense of unity for the club. The club is a non-profit organisation with all funds raised being reinvested in the club for the benefit of its members.

How Our Club Operates

The Club has been affiliated with NSW Swimming Inc since July 1992 and is established under their guidelines. NSW Swimming has regional divisions and KPD is a member of the Central Coast District Association.

KPD Club committee meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at Kincumber Swim Centre. All are encouraged to attend committee meetings and your suggestions and ideas are always welcome. However to vote and/or hold office you must be a registered member of KPD. (non-swimmer registrations are also available). Minutes from the monthly meetings are posted on the Club Notice board.

The Club Committee is elected annually in March each year.

We encourage all Club swimmers to wear KPD Club uniforms at all times. Club colours are royal blue, white and black. Club uniform items and accessories can be purchased from Kincumber and Wyo ming Swim Centres. Costumes are available through Kincumber Swim Centre. Track suits can be ordered through the Clothing Of ficer (Penny Roden). All swimmers are encouraged to compete in club costumes and caps at carnivals.

EXTERNAL CARNIVALS.

Upcoming carnivals are regularly posted with closing dates on the club notice board. The club will target certain carnivals suitable for our members. I? is recommended you seek the advice of your coach if you wish to compete at any other carnival.

Carnival entries are on single or multiple entry cards (the program advises which type) blue for boys and pink for girls. Cards are for sale on club nights and from the Swim Centres. Times are best times achieved at previous carnivals (not club times) and be sure you use short-course times for short course carnivals (25m pool) and long course times for long course carnivals (50m pool). If no time is available, mark the card N/T. Include cards with cash/cheque/money order made out to Kincumber Pacific Dolphins (not KPD) in an envelope marked with carnival name, the name of the entrant and the value of the payment. Lodge the envelope in the Club Box at the swim centre by the closing date. Carnival Entries must be accompanied by the correct carnival entry fees. Entries will not be forwarded without payment.

bo not post entries direct to the host club as all cards are checked and recorded by our own race secretary. Don't be late with your entries.

The club recommends subscription to the Swimmer magazine for updated information on carnivals and information on qualifying times for major carnivals. Details on the club board.

Club representatives for the Dibben Shield competition and state relays etc. are chosen upon consultation by the club's representative selection board.
